BILL MUZZY Illustrator

Creative from an early age, Bill began showing his talent by making toys out of poster board and tape. He would spend his nights by the light of his bed lamp sketching out the images that were hidden in the darker corners of his mind. His art always having a slightly offbeat and macabre perspective, his main focus leaned towards images that came from the slightly odd artistic recesses of his psyche. His off kilter perspective permeated its way into the simplest images such as portraits, landscapes, and still-lifes. If there was a bowl of fruit there would be a deranged monkey or monster hidden in the shadows. While attending high-school Bill began honing his skills by exploring many creative outlets such as, sculpture, painting, film making and stop frame claymation. Armed with a portfolio bursting with his raw creative vision, Bill took his work to college fairs in search of the right institution to explore his creative vision of the world. After considering offers from California Institute of Art in California and The School of Visual Arts in New York Bill settled on Montserrat College of Art in Beverly Massachusetts. Through his studies at Montserrat, He was able to develop his style and learned his affinity toward pen and ink.
